K-Lob, October 1999

Although the K-Lob weather was a bit extreme (and we're talking thunder, lightning, hail and torrential rain here), many rockets were flown, including Darren Longhorn's scratch build APStrocam, on what was to prove it's last flight. This was it's first flight on composite motors, two Aerotech Es. Unforunately only one ignited, and the rocket was underpowered, reaching minimal altitude, and deploying it's parachute only inches from the ground. Some photos were retreived from the camera however, and some are shown here.
