Phew, last flying day of the week. Firts order of the day was to finish the competitions. Landers, payload and sweetie rockets. I don't remember many payload entries, but there were plenty of sweetie rockets, and some innovative landers.
Mike and Shaun flew landers, Shaun's was the Centuri Saucer clone that won the contest two years ago. Mike's was a scratch design that he built on the Saturday as he rain poured down.
This was crazy. The very best that could have happened here was 10 pieces of rocket filling the skies. As it turned out, there were considerably more pieces than that! The rules were based on points for each motor lit and recovered, with bonus points for sustainer motors. Darren shaded it, just, but only because he recovered more of the resulting shrapnel.
